The first month of 2022 is coming to an end, and McGill Toastmasters had an energetic and productive January!

We started the month with our 1000th meeting which marks a new chapter for our club meetings with the meeting number going from 3 digits to 4 digits.

We embraced a successful special event “1001 toasts”! Our members Reem, Ally, Marna, George, Gizelle, and Johnny did wonderful teamwork. The keynote speaker Suzannah gave an incredibly engaging and powerful speech! The meeting welcomed 41 participants, including current members, former members, and guests.

We had the last meeting of January with the meeting theme “Thinking, Fast and Slow”. It turned out to be a very educational meeting as it prompted members to learn about the book written by Daniel Kahneman. Our speaker Jaffar talked about “Instinctive bias”, and Anderson delivered a speech “Walk slowly but never backward”.

Our February meetings will be even more exciting! Join our meeting at 5:45 pm every Tuesday!
