Testimonials

As a member of the McGill Toastmasters for more than ten years, I consider the club as my second family. The club is also for me like the United Nations with all the diversity of members, diversity of cultures, countries, ages and backgrounds. Their members are open mind, friendly, attentive and careful to each other. I have always seen the club as a laboratory to experiment all sorts of communication and I dared (and continue) to deliver different kinds of speeches with the pleasure of challenges and improvement. McGill is a continuous learning experience. I feel lucky, proud and grateful to be a member this club!

Six years ago I worked on my research at the McCord Museum. As a long-time Toastmaster, I decided to check out Clubs in Montreal during my time there. Literally, next door offered the meeting site for McGill Toastmasters Club. Although I left Montreal months later, I continued to cross the border once or twice a month until the pandemic sent me home for more than a year. The Club adapted quickly to the Zoom format and never missed a beat. The University will open its doors in September and fortunately even if the border does not open, there will be a hybrid format for those of us who can not attend in person. This Club excels at welcoming everyone, encouragement, and quality!
